Hugo Zanon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis in telecommunicatios, and a Masters in Business Administration both from University of Sao Paulo, in Brazil. Currently he is the Development Lead at Data Horizon Americas where he oversees all components required to build the company’s inventory over the Latin America region, including site selection, power procurement, network connectivity, and any aspects related to the design, permitting and construction of Data Center facilities.
Hugo has more than 25 years of experience in the Data Centers & ITC industries with large experience in managing Regional Operations, Sales and Business Development. He is an accomplished executive with a proven track record in leading technology companies and startup initiatives, focused on growth and result-driven operations.
Hugo has an extensive international career, which includes several positions in companies based in the United States and Brazil (Cyxtera, Verizon, Terremark, Global Crossing and Cirion), as well as held job experiences in Mexico and Japan. His deep knowledge on Latin America business, cultural, social and political environment has ben crucial for the successful development and value creation of the organizations he has been part of.
As a seasoned professional, Hugo has established a long-term relationship with a variety of players in the Data Center and telecommunications ecosystems, including large IT service providers like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta and Akamai, etc., as well main network and equipment suppliers.
