Collin Rose

Collin Rose is President of DayStarr Communications, a Michigan-based fiber broadband provider he founded in 2002. Over the past two decades, he has led the company’s growth from a single-employee startup to a regional ISP several thousands of homes and businesses across multiple communities, while building in-house capabilities across construction, engineering, and operations.

Rose has been deeply involved in the design, construction, and operation of fiber networks, with hands-on experience managing central offices, outside plant infrastructure, and the critical systems that support them. His work has centered on building operationally efficient, scalable broadband networks—integrating technical engineering with disciplined execution across workforce development, vendor management, and capital planning. 

In recent years, Rose has focused heavily on improving process efficiency across the organization, driving system optimization in areas such as provisioning, monitoring, and operational workflows. His approach emphasizes eliminating friction, standardizing processes, and aligning systems to support long-term scalability and reliability.

He brings a combination of executive leadership and field-level experience, having engineered solutions to both technical and business challenges throughout DayStarr’s growth. In addition to his role at DayStarr, Rose has more than 17 years of experience in emergency services as a firefighter, captain, and paramedic, where he has led teams through high-risk, time-critical situations—experience that informs his approach to incident management and operational leadership.

Rose is married and has two college-age sons. He is an active member of his local church and, when time allows, enjoys following Michigan Wolverines football and Detroit Tigers baseball.
