Attorney Wanda Pérez Álvarez serves as Senior Manager for Regulatory and Government Affairs at Liberty Communications for both the Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands markets. She joined Liberty Communications of Puerto Rico in 2020.
She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2000 and began her career working at the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals. She later served as Director of Admissions at the UPR School of Law, where she founded the Programa Enlace, an initiative that enabled law students to teach legal concepts and critical thinking to public school students. The program remains active at the Law School.
She subsequently became Director of the Contracts Division at the Puerto Rico Department of Justice. In 2013, she was appointed Executive Aide in charge of the Legal Advisory Division at the Puerto Rico Office of Management and Budget, and later served as Director of Legal and Legislative Services at the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce. In this role, she was tasked with advocating on behalf of the private sector to promote greater economic development in Puerto Rico.
She is currently Vice President and past President of the Puerto Rico Telecommunications Alliance, where she works closely with government agencies, industry associations, and private stakeholders to promote the robust development of the telecommunications sector. Her efforts focus on closing the digital divide and strengthening telecommunications services to ensure equitable access and improved connectivity for all communities.
