Mark Davis, SVP Network Engineering & Construction at Highline, is a distinguished industry veteran with over 40 years of experience in design, architecture, and deployment of large-scale broadband networks.
Throughout his career, Mark has become a recognized expert in fiber optics and HFC networks. At Highline, he leads the engineering and construction teams in building advanced Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) networks across six states, including Texas, Michigan, Colorado, Georgia, Nebraska, and Kansas. His technical expertise encompasses PON, Active Ethernet, and software tools used for Construction Management and GIS based fiber design.
Mark’s leadership history spans several roles, including serving as EVP and CTO at Point Broadband, where he accelerated fiber expansion in rural markets. As the CEO and Co-Founder of Deep Fiber Solutions, he spearheaded a revolutionary, patented process for converting legacy coax networks to fiber. His executive tenure also includes leadership positions at Imagine Communications, BigBand Networks, AT&T Broadband, Cox Communications, and Contel, where he managed numerous network projects and led large teams of technical professionals.
Mark’s career is marked by technical firsts, including building the team that launched Cox Communications' commercial voice and data offerings. He further drove the company's evolution by launching residential voice services and co-developing the Ring-in-Ring fiber architecture, a key milestone in their transition to a reliable full-service network provider.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Technology from Georgia Southern University and remains passionate about building high-performance technical teams that solve complex challenges for building the most cost effective, reliable, and operationally efficient fiber networks.
